Belt Promotion (Shōkyū Shinsa / Grading Exam)

If you improve and reach the required technical level, you can take a grading exam according to the system of our Japanese headquarters – KSS Kenseikan.
Upon passing the exam, you will receive a colored belt that reflects your new rank.

The technical ranking system for youth (13+) and adults starts from 6th kyu (yellow belt) and goes up to dan (black belt).
The system for children (ages 7–12) begins at 10th kyu (yellow belt) and progresses to 1st kyu (brown belt).

Examinations are usually held twice a year. They serve not only as a way to advance in rank but also as a great opportunity to boost students' motivation and confidence.
